A Day Full Of History And Science The Next Day

Yesterday,  I had the most wonderful time with my family (me, my mom,my grandparents, two adorable cousins and uncle) by visiting one of our proudest national monument which was Tugu Negara, a sculpture that commemorates those who died in Malaysia'a struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II. It was a definite eye opener moment for me personally as I got the chance to see it with my two eyes instead through school textbooks and TV screens.

We were very lucky to take beautiful pictures with the monument as the weather was hot and sunny the whole afternoon. The sky was clear blue with fluffy white clouds and it was just perfect. Eventhough we were all suffering with the extreme heat wave, it was all worth it in the end considering it rained heavily later that evening.

After that, we stopped at a stall to get some drinks and snacks. Then, my cousins (Siti and Aqil) and I played at the nearest playground in that area. I got to ride the swings, so it was a win-win. Keep in mind it was a super hot day and we tried our best to enjoy the playground even though our butts felt like they were on fire. I did enjoy spending my time with those two. At one point I could imagine Harry Styles looking at me from the park bench or whatever, if you know what I mean........

How sweet of Nazurah for joining her cousins at the playground. <3<3<3

Later, we all head off to the Tun Abdul Razak Memorial which was once the official residence of the late Tun Abdul Razak. This house, known as Sri Taman, was later occupied by the country's third Prime Minister, Tun Hussein Onn.  You couldn't believe how big that place was. Not to mention how many rooms were in there. There was a lot of passage ways through out the mansion that you could easily get lost in there.

BEAT THAT TEEN CRIBS!!!

At first, we were greeted by this stunning garden located in the middle of this open-concept mansion and the rest was history.

We didn't take any pictures inside as we were amazed by the lifestyle of our former prime minister. You know what they say...............
What happens in that mansion, stays in that mansion.

As for today, I went to Petroscience Discovery Centre in KLCC. Unfortunately, Siti wasn't able to tag along with us as her family was celebrating Adam's birthday. But at the end of the day it was a fun visit. We even bought a few treats from their cafe and ate at the food court afterwords.

Thank You Atok<3<3<3
