You might be wondering why I am blogging about this horror comedy series at the beginning of 2017 instead of writing a summary on what I've accomplished in 2016 or do a regular new year's resolution post like anybody else would. However I decided to go for a different approach this time. Besides, new year was 2 months ago according to the Islamic calendar yet most of us are used to the idea of using the perpetual calendar. It's a fact we can't deny. Still, what matters is that we make an effort in knowing the truth even if it's by taking small steps at a time. Surely we will know what's right and wrong.
Back to the main topic, yes, it's no secret that I am a big fan of FOX's hit series Scream Queens from the very first season. How did I bumped into the show? Well, that's what big sisters are for. My sister introduced me to the show even before it aired on television through their eye-catching promo poster. It's hard to not fangirl over the long list of familiar TV stars I've watched back in primary school. Nick Jonas, aka my first crush, Keke Palmer from Nickelodeon's True Jackson VP, Lea Michelle from Glee, Ariana Grande, aka Cat Valentine from Victorious and the talented Emma Roberts from Unfabulous. To be honest, I didn't have any memory of watching Unfabulous back in the days. It was probably because I was too little to understand the story. You have to admit most of the good TV shows were available around the early 2000s and you'd probably find me glued to Higglytown Heroes daily at that time.
Now I enjoy feasting my eyes on thriller sitcoms that tend to make my dad question my choice of visual entertainment. In the end he did not mind me watching the show after seeing I was not traumatized by the endless killing every episode. But that doesn't mean I am not afraid of whatever happened in the episodes. I was and still am scared about it but this particular show gave me some valuable lessons. Underneath all the illogical plots, you can find some gold if you look harder into it.
I finished my Scream Queens Season 2 marathon yesterday and it was an unresolved one yet again. Will there be season 3 this year? I don't want to spill all the details on season 2 of Scream Queens but all I can say is that the finale was an unexpected one considering it was its 10th episode and season 1 had 13 episodes if I'm not mistaken. I even read a random writer's synopsis from that particular episode for further confirmation. From what I saw, the story might take a turn to the past during the Kappa days.
Season 2 has been a plentiful with new casts such as Taylor Lautner, aka Sharkboy or Jacob from Twilight and John Stamos from the iconic Full House. They have truly made the viewers more fond towards the life of a highly skilled doctor.
If I could choose a word to describe the killer(s) motive, yes, there is more that one killer- spoiler alert- it would be REVENGE!
Simple as that.
Sadly due to the predictable story line, many people lost interest in the series.
But I am there to support Scream Queens all the way.
